Holy Preservation! Madison, Indiana is Bringing It. Again.
Three BIG projects in Madison are taking center stage, and they’re happening from one end of town to the other. This past weekend, local preservation group Cornerstone Society offered a free “Trio Tour” of these examples of adaptive reuse of historic properties.

It’s pretty cool looking at the inside of the 1876 Fixer Upper knowing no one has seen it in its original form for +/-100 years. No more wallpaper, no bathrooms, no second generation flooring. Just wide open spaces waiting for a fresh coat of everything.

Life has a way of intervening and changing what you need, and that has led us, yet again, to another house project. Let the downsizing – and this blog – begin! Today we closed on an 1876 fixer upper we bought last month at auction in Madison, Indiana. It promises to be a wonderful home – once the to-do list is completed!
