Blue Ribbon Corn Bread
- 1 cup yellow cornmeal
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/16 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 egg slightly beaten
- 3/4 cup canola oil
Heat oven to 425 degrees F. Prepare an 8” x 8” pan with cooking spray. Mix all dry ingredients.
Add liquids. Stir softly to mix. Bake for 30 minutes. Cool slightly before cutting into servings.
