Aunt Jane's Blueberry Sour Cream Pie

A delicious blueberry pie that's not too sweet and features a delishly nutty streusel topping. Fresh berries preferred, but frozen can be used.

Ingredients

  • 1 unbaked pie shell

Pie Filling

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsp all purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 1/2 cups blueberries

Streusel Topping

  • 3 tbsp all purpose flour
  • 3 tbsp butter, slightly softened
  • 3 tbsp chopped walnuts (or chopped pecans)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees

Pie Filling

  • Combine first 6 ingredients and beat 5 minutes at medium speed.
  • Fold in blueberries
  • Pour into pie shell
  • Bake for 35 minutes

Streusel Topping

  • While pie is baking, combine all three topping ingredients, mixing well.
  • After 35 minutes, remove pie from oven and sprinkle topping over the top of the pie.
  • Bake 10 additional minutes at 400 degrees
  • Remove pie from oven and cool. Chill before serving.
