I created a vintage-inspired Christmas tree that featured “my angels” — my mother and all of my grandmothers over time for whom I had photographs — and included Victorian scrap angels, and vintage glass ornaments and garland. It is lovely and a wonderful reminder of love and family during the holidays.
Every child wants Santa to know what they really want for Christmas, and they hope he’ll receive their list in time to grant their wishes. If you want those letters to Santa Claus answered, send them to Santa Claus Post Office in Santa Claus, Indiana!

My Dad was wild about hunting game birds – pheasant, quail and partridge. He was an excellent shot, and I never remember him returning home empty handed.
The 315 Poplar Street dining room has plenty of charm. Unfortunately, it is short on space compared to our current home. (Good thing I like charm… )
Life has a way of intervening and changing what you need, and that has led us, yet again, to another house project. Let the downsizing – and this blog – begin! Today we closed on an 1876 fixer upper we bought last month at auction in Madison, Indiana. It promises to be a wonderful home – once the to-do list is completed!
